Bringing a heritage home into this century whilst preserving amazing heritage character is what we love.  This home featured removal of the internal fireplaces over two levels to make way for larger rooms whilst retaining the heritage protected external chimney.  A modern extension at the rear (not visible from the street) contains a modern kitchen, bathroom, study, bedroom and more.  To improve energy efficiency, all windows were retrofitted with double glazing and insulation installed wherever possible.  The use of timber, brick and steel finishes to the extension give a stunning result.
