Bringing a heritage home into this century whilst preserving amazing heritage character is what we love. This home featured removal of the internal fireplaces over two levels to make way for larger rooms whilst retaining the heritage protected external chimney. A modern extension at the rear (not visible from the street) contains a modern kitchen, bathroom, study, bedroom and more. To improve energy efficiency, all windows wre retrofitted with double glazing and insulation installed wherever possible. The use of timber, brick and steel finishes to the extennsion give a stunning result.
Transform Homes would be more innovative than most, if not all, builders out there — the level of granularity in the cost estimate gave us real comfort that the project would be managed to budget, with no surprises. The quality of the build is apparent and the guys do not cut corners.
