Our process
Step one
Discovery
This step is a conversation, not a sales pitch. You'll meet directly with Greg or Clive. For renovations and extensions, this will normally be at your home so they can see your current home and in turn properly understand what you need. Together they will discuss your vision, how you use your home, lifestyle, hobbies, pets and family needs, your budget, and your preferred type of finishes. At the end of this conversation, we will understand your design brief and the scope of works. For new homes we can meet at your home, onsite, or in our office.
If you're coming to us with a full set of plans, the same process applies – we really want to understand your objectives.
Our aim at the end of this stage, is that you'll have a clear picture of our build process from where you are now to handover.

Step two
Preliminary estimate
This step is about getting clearer about your project. If you don’t have plans already, we can organise for preliminary drawings be prepared for you. This will involve measuring your existing home, checks on town planning, heritage overlays and possibly soil reports and boundary re-establishment. At the end of this step, we will provide you with a preliminary estimate for your build. This isn't a fixed price – we won’t have enough information for that — it's an honest early check to make sure we're aligned on budget before time is spent on more detailed design, engineering, and related documentation.

Step three
Design & selections
This step is where your project takes shape. We confirm your detailed design brief, and if you don’t already have plans, prepare working drawings. We help you as required with colour selections and arrange supplier appointments to help you choose fixtures, fittings, tiles and more! We prepare engineering and energy reports, and all paperwork required for Building Permit submission. Town Planning matters are also resolved in this step.
If you already have council-approved plans, some parts of this step may already be complete — we'll confirm exactly what's still required with you.
This is about getting everything confirmed and documented before we prepare your fixed price proposal.

Step four
Fixed price proposal & contract
This step is where your fixed price proposal is prepared and presented — the actual price based on your confirmed plans, selections, and specifications. After a start date is confirmed with you, a construction schedule is prepared and shared, so you know exactly when work begins and when to expect completion. Your fixed price contract is prepared and signed, Homeowner Warranty insurance is arranged.

Step five
Construction
This step is when work begins onsite. From day one you have direct access to our construction management system, where you can track progress, stay across schedule updates, and stay informed without needing to chase anyone. Site meetings are scheduled fortnightly or as agreed and you will receive weekly written updates with photos of progress to share with friends and family. Our selected team of contractors coupled with our own in-house team of carpenters deliver your project.

Final step
Handover
Your build is complete! We handover ready for you to start living your dream. You'll receive a full handover pack covering everything you need to know about your new home.

What to expect
