For new home builds and sites where the owners aren’t occupying the site, before any construction work begins, Transform Homes installs temporary fencing to secure the perimeter of the site. Access is controlled as follows:

1. Fencing – temporary fencing (often with shade cloth) or partitions are erected to secure the construction site boundary.
2. Locking – heavy-duty chains and combination padlocks secure all access points.
3. Access control – staff and subcontractors are given the current combination to enter.
4. Staged access – the combination is changed at set points during the build, so only the trades required for that stage can get in.

This staged approach means access narrows as the build progresses, rather than every trade holding the same access for the life of the project.

How does Transform Homes monitor the site with CCTV?

What happens if trades need site access outside work hours?

Any work required outside standard working hours must be notified to Transform Homes in advance. This allows the CCTV and siren system to be switched off or reprogrammed for that time window, avoiding false alerts while still keeping the site monitored.

How is the site checked at the end of each day?

A camera positioned at the front of the property lets Transform Homes confirm that contractors have closed and locked the gates before the motion and siren system is reactivated for the evening.

What changes if homeowners are living on site during construction?

Where homeowners remain living on site during the build, security arrangements are adjusted. CCTV is usually not used in these cases, given the owners' ongoing presence in and around the property and need for privacy.
