This project comprised a three-storey extension to the rear of a period building and was built during Covid whilst the clients were living in New York. Using Corten steel panels on the outside, exposed Oregon beams internally and a downdraft extraction range hood behind the cook top as there was no opportunity for overhead mounting. We preserved the original detailed brick work which was uncovered during the demolition phase and used copper storm water pipes to be in keeping with the design aesthetic. Selections included handmade Moroccan tiles, Corten internal stairs panel, recycled Australian timber engineered floors and all cabinetry is an Oak veneer.
